Note: The tower is NOT leaning even though it looks like it is in this picture. The tower starts to come down. The tower has three levels in the interior and the tower will be dismantled by those levels. This is the first level coming off. Also visible is the back The first level continues to come down. Here you can see the workers painstakingly removing the tower. The second level starts to come down. The white beam that runs through the stonewall up to the tower will be where the new cross will be added. The second level continues to come down. You can see the back wall covered in plastic. The storm clouds look fierce, but the Lord protected us and it didn't rain too hard. This is taken from the back of the church. The top two levels have been removed. This is the height the tower will be. The tower will have a peaked roof to match the peak on the stone wall. It will also be made the same width as the stonewall. You can see the new wall coming out of the shadows on the right. All of the stucco has been removed and old walls are coming off. You can see the new wall better in this picture. The opening in the wall will be for some windows (eventually stained glass). The new structure starts to take shape. The front wall is visible. Picture from the back of the new structure.
